United Hatzalah honorary donors’ event

United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Service organization. The organization provides the fastest emergency medical first response throughout Israel. The emergency help service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin and works to save as many lives as possible by providing fast and professional medical aid at the scene.

Joel Amit has the organization’s mission close to heart and was deeply moved when he was called to take part in the celebration of the top donors. For the occasion, Joel designed special artworks that symbolize the work of the volunteers and United Hatzalah. The works were created as a gift for the key donors, among them Dr. Miriam Adelson.

The works depict the volunteers riding the Ambu-cycles while going about their daily lives. As an emergency comes, they interrupt whatever they are doing and rush to save a life. The colorful butterflies represent the diversity of the organization and the many lives saved. Like a caterpillar changes into a beautiful butterfly, so has United Hatzalah grown into a nationally-recognized life-saving organization, thanks to the volunteers and donors dedicating themselves to the cause.
